Our History

A New Look was founded in August 2024 by Jamal T. Stokes and his wife Cara Stokes. They are local community members of Kalamazoo, MI, where they realized a need for individuals to be empowered and restored through self care and basic hygiene. They aim to grow their 501(c)(3) non-profit organization into a thriving organization powered  by values like compassion, dignity, inclusion and community. 

A New Look is proud to partner with a variety of local organizations to provide the best possible support to our clients. From food banks to local churches, our partners help us extend our reach and impact in the community.
